Job Summary

 Position: CICS Operator / System Administrator – L1\\\\r\\\\nExperience: 8–15 years\\\\r\\\\nWork Model: 24x7 Shift Support\\\\r\\\\nLocation: As per project requirement\\\\r\\\\nRole Purpose\\\\r\\\\n• Provide first level (L1) operational support for CICS environments\\\\r\\\\n• Ensure system availability and quick response to incidents\\\\r\\\\n• Follow standard runbooks and escalation procedures\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor CICS regions, transactions, queues, and system alerts\\\\r\\\\n• Perform daily operator activities such as console commands and message handling\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor jobs and coordinate with batch scheduling teams\\\\r\\\\n• Handle initial incident response including region restarts and basic checks\\\\r\\\\n• Execute basic CICS commands (CEMT) for status checks and start/stop actions\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor files, queues, and transaction status\\\\r\\\\n• Coordinate with DB2, Control M, and middleware teams during issues\\\\r\\\\n• Support DR activities including region startup and failover execution\\\\r\\\\n• Escalate issues to L2 teams with proper details and logs\\\\r\\\\n• Maintain shift handover reports and incident logs\\\\r\\\\nRequired Skills\\\\r\\\\n• Strong working knowledge of CICS and z/OS operations\\\\r\\\\n• Hands on experience with mainframe operator activities\\\\r\\\\n• Familiarity with console operations and batch job monitoring\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of incident management and escalation process\\\\r\\\\n• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Omegamon or MainView is an advantage\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to follow runbooks and standard operating procedures\\\\r\\\\nKPIs / Performance Measures\\\\r\\\\n• Incident response and resolution time\\\\r\\\\n• CICS system availability\\\\r\\\\n• Quality and timeliness of escalations\\\\r\\\\n• Accuracy of shift reports and incident documentation\\\\r\\\\nProfile Requirements\\\\r\\\\n• 8–15 years of experience in mainframe operations or support roles\\\\r\\\\n• Experience in 24x7 production support environments\\\\r\\\\n• Good communication and coordination skills\\\\r\\\\n• Willingness to work in rotational shifts\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n

Key Responsibilities

Proficiency extends to Identity & Access Management,
Mainframe Cybersecurity, adept administration and precise execution
of Mainframe console and batch job operations.

Skill Requirements

Demonstrated ability to proficiently manage critical
functions such as, IBM Mainframe Security Administration
