Job Summary

SAP HANA DB Specialist with DevOps skill

Key Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience administering SAP HANA databases in operational or production support roles Strong knowledge of SAP HANA backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts Experience monitoring database health, performance, availability, and capacity Hands-on experience with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for SAP HANA systems Famili Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience administering SAP HANA databases in operational or production support roles Strong knowledge of SAP HANA backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts Experience monitoring database health, performance, availability, and capacity Hands-on experience with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for SAP HANA systems Familiarity with Linux administration and scripting for operational support. Strong understanding of operational support models, incident handling, and change execution Understanding of cloud infrastructure and SAP HANA deployments on Azure, AWS, or GCP arity with Linux administration and scripting for operational support. Skill Requirements

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies Experience with SAP HANA Cloud Experience supporting large-scale or business-critical production environments Understanding of change management, incident management, and problem management processes Familiarity with related technologies such as Hadoop, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, or Kafka Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering, SAP application, and platform teams Understanding of service reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement practices

Other Requirements

Operate and support SAP HANA databases to ensure availability, reliability, and performance in production environments Monitor database systems proactively and respond to incidents, alerts, and service degradations in a timely manner Perform database patching, upgrades, maintenance, and version management according to agreed operational processes Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, failures, and escalated production incidents Support backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery operations for SAP HANA platforms Automate recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability Collaborate with SAP, infrastructure, and engineering teams to plan and implement database changes Contribute to operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures for ongoing support Identify opportunities to improve database stability, scalability, and operational maturity
