Job Summary
The Network Engineer L2 is responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The role provides second-line technical support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, and network security incidents while ensuring service availability and adherence to SLAs. This position acts as an escalation point for L1 support teams and collaborates with L3 engineers on complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
2. Conduct Thorough Root Cause Analysis For Escalated Incidents, Implementing Effective Solutions To Mitigate Recurring Issues And Enhance System Reliability.
3. Engage In Knowledge Management By Updating And Maintaining The Knowledge Base, And Training New Staff To Foster A Culture Of Continuous Learning And Improvement.
4. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Resolve Complex Tickets Within Agreed Slas, Ensuring Seamless Operations And Maintaining A Strong Security Posture.
5. Enhance Customer Experience And Csat By Achieving First Call Resolution, Minimizing Rejected Resolutions And Re-Open Cases, While Actively Identifying And Addressing Potential Security Threats.
Skill Requirements
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies. Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches. Knowledge of MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, VPN technologies. Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Expertise in switching technologies (VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel). Experience with WLAN environments. Working knowledge of F5 Load Balancers. Basic to intermediate firewall administration. Familiarity with monitoring tools and network diagnostics.

Preferred Certifications Cisco CCNA (Mandatory/Preferred) Cisco CCNP (Preferred) Fortinet NSE Aruba Certified Associate Meraki Certifications ITIL Foundation [Trainings...26 - SASOL | Excel], [We are cur...ills: - A | Viva Engage] Experience 3–6 years of relevant network operations/support experience. Experience supporting enterprise-scale network environments. Exposure to managed services environments is preferred.
