L2 Wireless Network Engineer - Cisco & Aruba WLAN Operations\\r\\nRole Summary\\r\\nThe L2 Wireless Engineer is responsible for operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise wireless environments based on Cisco and Aruba technologies\\r\\n

Key Responsibilities

Wireless Operations\\r\\n• Monitor enterprise WLAN services.\\r\\n• Support wireless user connectivity issues.\\r\\n• Troubleshoot authentication failures.\\r\\n• Manage guest wireless services.\\r\\n• Support SSID administration activities.\\r\\nCisco Wireless Support\\r\\n• Cisco 9800 Wireless Controllers\\r\\n• Cisco Access Points\\r\\n• Cisco Wireless Assurance\\r\\n• Cisco Mobility Services\\r\\nAruba Wireless Support\\r\\n• Aruba Central\\r\\n• Aruba Mobility Controllers\\r\\n• Aruba Access Points\\r\\n• Aruba AirWave (if applicable)\\r\\nIncident Management\\r\\n• Resolve wireless incidents.\\r\\n• Support L1 team whenever necessary and work closely with the L1 team.\\r\\n• Troubleshoot wireless client issues.\\r\\n• Support roaming investigations.\\r\\n• Escalate RF-related and complex issues to L3.\\r\\nConfiguration Management\\r\\n• SSID provisioning\\r\\n• AP deployment support\\r\\n• Controller configuration updates\\r\\n• WLAN policy implementation\\r\\nMonitoring\\r\\n• Aruba Central\\r\\n• Cisco Catalyst Center Assurance\\r\\n• SolarWinds\\r\\n• ThousandEyes\\r\\nCompliance & Reporting\\r\\n• Validate AP health.\\r\\n• Monitor controller availability.\\r\\n• Support firmware compliance activities.\\r\\n• Assist in wireless performance reporting.\\r\\nRequired Skills\\r\\n• Cisco WLC 9800\\r\\n• Cisco Access Points\\r\\n• Aruba Central\\r\\n• Aruba Controllers\\r\\n• WLAN Troubleshooting\\r\\n• WPA2/WPA3\\r\\n• 802.1X Fundamentals\\r\\n• RADIUS Basics\\r\\n\\r\\nExperience\\r\\n• 3-5 years of Wireless Operations experience.\\r\\n• Experience supporting Cisco or Aruba wireless networks.\\r\\n• Good understanding of WLAN fundamentals.\\r\\nPreferred Certifications\\r\\n• CCNA Wireless / Enterprise\\r\\n• Aruba ACA\\r\\n• ITIL Foundation\\r\\n\\r\\n
