Job Summary
L1 Cloyd Engineer : The Junior Cloud Engineer (L1) supports the design, deployment, and day‑to‑day operation of cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions under the guidance of senior engineers and architects. This role focuses on operational execution, learning, and hands‑on support, contributing to the stability, scalability, and security of enterprise cloud environments. The position assists with managing cloud resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, supporting infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), monitoring cloud environments, and responding to basic infrastructure issues. The Junior Cloud Engineer also supports CI/CD pipeline execution, containerized workloads, and cloud deployments, following defined standards, security policies, and best practices. In addition, the role collaborates closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams, maintains technical documentation and runbooks, and continuously develops skills in cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps practices. This position is ideal for early‑career professionals seeking to build a strong foundation and progress toward Cloud Engineer (L2) or DevOps Engineer roles within an enterprise or managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities
: Assist in deploying and configuring cloud resources on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Support day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking. Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation. Support CI/CD pipeline execution and monitoring. Assist with containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS/AKS). Monitor cloud environments for availability and performance issues. Troubleshoot basic cloud issues and escalate complex problems. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration records. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams. Continuously learn cloud services and DevOps best practices.
Skill Requirements
Basic understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP. Basic Linux or Windows knowledge. Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or PowerShell). Understanding of networking fundamentals. Good communication skills and learning mindset. Willingness to work in shifts or on-call support. Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
