SharePoint Technical Lead

Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of projects using SharePoint framework and SharePoint. They will be in charge of overseeing the technical aspects of SharePoint projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully and meet the clients' requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the technical aspects of sharepoint projects from inception to completion.
2. Design and develop solutions using sharepoint framework and sharepoint.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
4. Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure best practices are followed.
5. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
6. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in sharepoint technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver standard (and Custom as required) solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Client-Side capabilities (utilizing Angular JS, JQuery, JavaScript etc.), Search capabilities, forms, deployment, and administration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver on system design and development for the needed business requirements supporting various Business Units.
  • Work across the GBS organizations including teams responsible for requirements, solution architecture, quality assurance and production support.
  • Ensure that solutions are being delivered are per standards of availability, scalability, and security point of view and that are done on time with highest quality.
  • Ensure that standards and guidelines are created for all aspects of technology being used in the delivery.
  • Ensure that all delivery artifacts are reviewed and are according to the standards and guidelines.
  • Provide support and maintenance for the services being offered to the business and the environments in which they are offered.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place.

 

SharePoint Online Development

  • Design and develop SharePoint Online sites, pages, document libraries, lists, and content types.
  • Build responsive solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), ReactJs, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Configure and customize SharePoint Online using out-of-the-box capabilities.
  • Develop custom web parts, extensions, and application customizers.
  • Implement document management, metadata management, and records management solutions.

 

Power Platform Development

  • Develop and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Applications).
  • Build automated business processes using Power Automate.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Create dashboards and reports using Power BI. (Nice to have)

 

Integration & Automation

  • Integrate SharePoint Online with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and third-party systems.
  • Develop workflows and automation solutions using Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs.
  • Support data migration projects using ShareGate, Migration Manager, or PowerShell.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in sharepoint framework, including sharepoint online and sharepoint on-premises.
2. Strong experience with sharepoint.
3. In-depth knowledge of sharepoint development, customization, and configuration.
4. Ability to design and implement sharepoint solutions based on business requirements.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
7. Project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Strong software development experience of at least 2 - 3 years of experience working in project initiatives with SharePoint Online
  • In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies including SharePoint online, Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate), HTML 5, CSS 3, Custom Web Parts etc.
  • Strong knowledge in client-side scripting frameworks like React.js, Angular, Bootstrap for responsive design
  • Strong knowledge and best practices for SharePoint customizations
  • Good to have: SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with ReactJs
  • Understand SDLC phases. Experience using one or more of Waterfall, Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices

Other Requirements

1.Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification is preferred but not mandatory required.
