Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain DBT models, macros, snapshots, seeds, and tests.
- Build and optimize ELT pipelines using DBT and cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Develop dimensional and data vault models to support business analytics.
- Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable SQL transformation logic.
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and Product Owners to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake query performance, warehouse utilization, and DBT execution.
- Integrate DBT deployments with Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain metadata, documentation, lineage, and technical design artifacts.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support data operations activities.
Mandatory Skills
- 5–8 years of Data Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Core and/or Cloud).
- Advanced SQL programming and query optimization.
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
- Strong understanding of Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and data transformation frameworks.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
