Job Summary

Role: Snowflake Data Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Snowflake Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable data platforms. The role demands strong expertise across Snowflake, DBT, Python, MS SQL, and cloud data engineering, along with exposure to Snowflake Cortex and AI-driven data capabilities. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor teams, and enable data-driven transformation across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design modern data platforms using Snowflake on cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Define and implement end-to-end data pipelines utilizing DBT, Python, and SQL-based transformations.
  • Lead data modeling strategy (dimensional, data vault, and lakehouse patterns).
  • Drive cloud data engineering best practices, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and performance optimization.
  • Leverage Snowflake Cortex / AI capabilities for advanced analytics and intelligent data solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across platforms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams; ensure delivery quality and adherence to standards.
  • Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of Snowflake workloads.

Skill Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Snowflake Architecture & Implementation.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • DBT (Data Build Tool) – modeling, testing, deployment
    • Python – data processing, automation
    • MS SQL / Advanced SQL – query optimization, warehousing
  • Solid foundation in Cloud Data Engineering (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience in building modern data platforms (lakehouse / data warehouse architectures).
  • Exposure to Snowflake Cortex / AI/ML integration is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in data modeling, partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning.

 

Leadership & Stakeholder Skills

  • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and design reviews.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills.
  • Experience in mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Alation).
  • Exposure to real-time data streaming (Kafka, etc.).
  • Certifications in Snowflake / Cloud platforms
