SAP Solution Architect (Lead / Architect) – 10+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, integrated SAP solutions across enterprise landscapes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives. The candidate should demonstrate leadership in solution design, governance, and implementation across multiple SAP modules. Experience in global rollouts and enterprise-level transformations is essential.

 

Experience Expectations

  • 10+ years of overall SAP experience with at least 3–5 years in solution architecture roles
  • Proven experience in at least 2–3 full-cycle SAP implementations or S/4HANA transformations
  • Experience in handling large-scale, multi-country rollouts and complex system landscapes
  • Strong exposure to both functional and technical aspects of SAP

Industry / Domain Experience

  • Manufacturing, Retail, Energy, Utilities, or BFSI domains preferred
  • Experience in global enterprise environments and consulting organizations

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end SAP solution architecture aligned with business and IT strategy
  • Lead S/4HANA transformation programs including greenfield, brownfield, and hybrid implementations
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system landscapes
  • Ensure integration between SAP and non-SAP systems (cloud, third-party platforms, legacy systems)
  • Provide guidance on SAP best practices, standards, and governance frameworks
  • Oversee technical design, development standards, and code quality across projects
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines
  • Mentor functional and technical teams, providing direction during implementation cycles
  • Drive innovation through adoption of SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, and emerging technologies
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution proposals, estimations, and client presentations
  • Manage risk, performance bottlenecks, and ensure smooth production rollouts

  • SAP Activate Methodology
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP with SAP)

Additional / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Industry 4.0, IoT integrations, or AI/ML in SAP ecosystem
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, or IBSO solutions
  • Exposure to DevOps practices within SAP landscape
  • Experience in RISE with SAP engagements
  • TOGAF or enterprise architecture frameworks

Other Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • SAP S/4HANA Certification (preferred)
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (good to have)
