Key Responsibilities

The Program Director – Generative AI at HCLTech is responsible for driving large‑scale GenAI transformation programs across strategic client accounts and internal platforms, ensuring business value realization, delivery excellence, and responsible AI adoption. This role acts as the single‑point executive owner for GenAI programs—spanning use‑case identification, solution delivery, AI governance, compliance, and scaling—while aligning with HCLTech’s AI offerings, quality frameworks, and client contractual obligations.

 

1. GenAI Program & Portfolio Ownership

  1. Own end‑to‑end delivery of multiple GenAI programs across accounts, service lines, or platforms (AMS, ERS, Digital, QA, Engineering).
  2. Define and manage program roadmaps, funding models, milestones, and KPIs aligned to HCLTech and client business outcomes.
  3. Govern POCs, pilots. industrialized GenAI solutions, ensuring scalability and reuse across accounts.

2. Client & Business Alignment

  1. Partner with client CXOs, delivery heads, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize GenAI use cases (productivity, QA/QE, operations, engineering, service desk, analytics).
  2. Build business cases and value articulation (cost optimization, productivity uplift, risk reduction).
  3. Represent HCLTech as a trusted GenAI transformation partner in client forums, QBRs, and innovation councils.

3. Delivery Governance & Execution Excellence

  1. Provide executive oversight to multi‑disciplinary delivery teams
  2. Ensure adherence to HCLTech delivery governance
  3. Drive reuse of HCLTech GenAI accelerators, frameworks, and platforms.

4. Responsible AI, Risk & Compliance

  1. Ensure GenAI solutions comply with HCLTech AI governance and quality frameworks. Client contractual requirements, Data privacy, security, and ethical AI principles
  2. Own AI risk management
  3. Review and maintain AI compliance dashboards, RAG status, and audit readiness.

5. Technology & Architecture Oversight (Non‑Coding)

  1. Provide leadership oversight on LLM‑based architectures (RAG, agents, copilots), Enterprise GenAI integrations. Cloud‑based AI platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
  2. Ensure solutions are secure, cost‑optimized, and enterprise‑grade, aligned to client IT landscapes.
  3. Guide architectural decisions without being hands‑on in development.

6. Capability Building & Innovation

  1. Drive GenAI capability development within HCLTech
  2. Sponsor hackathons, innovation funnels, and GenAI ideation programs across accounts.
  3. Identify opportunities for IP creation, accelerators, and repeatable solutions.

 

Required Experience & Skills

  1. Leadership & Delivery with 15+ years in large‑scale IT / Digital / Transformation program delivery
  2. Proven experience managing multi‑account, multi‑geography programs.
  3. GenAI & AI Understanding
  4. Governance & Quality

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
