Job Summary
We are seeking a highly technical, rigorous Commissioning Lead to direct and execute end-to-end Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning (Cx) processes for our ultra-high-density AI data center portfolio.
You will be responsible for validating that all electrical power trains, heavy mechanical systems, and complex direct-to-chip liquid cooling networks perform flawlessly under full operational and fault loads. This role ensures our facilities are fully certified and ready to support 100 kW to 150 kW+ per rack GPU deployments without downtime risks.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Density Liquid Cooling & MEP Commissioning (L1–L5)
Level 1 to Level 3 Validation: Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT), equipment receipt inspection, static installation checks, and pre-functional component testing for CDUs, chillers, dry coolers, UPS systems, and generators.
Level 4 Functional Performance Testing (FPT): Lead functional testing of primary and secondary liquid cooling loops, flow rate balancing, pressure differential controls, dynamic fluid quality testing, and electrical load transfers.
Level 5 Integrated Systems Testing (IST): Design and execute full-scale failure mode scenarios, synthetic heat load bank testing at 100 kW–150 kW+ per rack, utility power loss simulations, and emergency cooling switchovers.
2. AI Workload & Thermal Validation
Hydronic & Fluid Quality Certification: Validate pipe flushing, hydro-testing, deionized water chemical treatment, micro-filtration, and automatic leak detection shutdown sequences prior to GPU cluster deployment.
Thermal & Power Density Verification: Verify that environmental controls, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and heat rejection systems maintain required thermal envelopes under maximum synthetic GPU compute loads.
3. Commissioning Governance & Stakeholder Management
Cx Scripts & Protocols: Author, review, and approve custom Level 1–5 commissioning scripts, IST test procedures, matrix load plans, and operating manuals (MOPs/SOPs/EOPs).
Third-Party & Vendor Coordination: Direct third-party commissioning agents (CxA), OEM field engineers, MEP execution leads, and hyperscale client technical representatives.
Issues Tracking & Handover: Manage the Cx issue log (punch list), drive root-cause failure analysis, enforce vendor remediation, and formally sign off on facility operational readiness.
