Job Summary

• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, documents, and maintains applications systems, working on moderately complex to highly complex work tasks or project assignments.
• Gathers, analyzes, and translates business and non-functional requirements into a solution design. May lead meetings to define business requirements and technical solutions.  Executes tasks, estimates resources, establishes timelines, and prioritizes work.
• Designs, develops to specifications, and maintains application code in accordance with the current development and project management methodologies and practices.
• Provide technical expertise in the enabling technologies and able to design and develop customizations on components of the Oracle Retail Suite (Xstore, Xenvironment, Xadmin and Xcenter).
• Knowledge of Oracle Retail Xstore Suite and the integration with the components of Oracle Retail Suite (gained through participation in projects that included enterprise-wide implementation of various Oracle Retail applications); capable of technical analysis to suit customer needs having in consideration Oracle recommended best practices. 
• Experience working on Payment integrations using EFT-Link and integrating with Adyen and Aurus is a plus
• Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans, using Xunit.
• Manages work assignments according to current project methodologies or as directed.
• Consults with Quality Assurance and Business Analysts in the development and execution of test plans.
• Provides technical assistance and problem resolution for assigned systems. Leads resolution of production support problems in accordance with problem management policies and procedures. Leads resolution of production support incidents in accordance with incident management policies and procedures. Coordinates with vendors for problem resolution and change requests.
• Ensures that applications changes follow change management policies and procedures.
• Provides technical guidance to ensure that installed systems are working effectively and that proposed systems will meet organization’s future needs.
• Identifies and provides recommendations for system process improvements.
• Ensures smooth implementation of new technologies and vendor integrations by using their expertise on their assigned domains and interfaces
• May act as a source for direction, training, and guidance for less experienced departmental staff.
• Deep understanding of development and deployment of Oracle product suite on Cloud

1. Provide Technical Guidance And Solutions By Defining, Advocating, And Implementing Best Practices And Coding Standards In Spring Boot Development, Ensuring High-Quality Outputs From The Team.
2. Develop And Enhance Web Applications Using Spring Boot And Hibernate, Ensuring Efficient Integration With Existing Systems And Optimizing Performance.
3. Mentor And Support Team Members In Their Technical Growth By Facilitating Knowledge-Sharing Sessions And Providing Constructive Feedback On Spring Boot And Java Development Techniques.
4. Ensure Compliance With Development Processes In The Assigned Module By Participating In Technical Discussions And Reviews As A Technical Consultant For Feasibility Studies, Evaluating Technical Alternatives, And Assessing Risks.
5. Prepare And Submit Status Reports To Stakeholders, Minimizing Exposure And Risks On The Project And Addressing Escalation Closures Effectively.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible work experience designing, developing, customizing, and implementing Retail Point of Sale system
• Minimum 4 years of development and customization experience of Xstore suite of product
• Extensive experience in Core Java, J2EE, Web/Application development tools.
• Experience must include programming APIs adhering to microservices architecture; Java/J2EE; Spring boot technologies; Spring MVC, JSP; AJAX; JavaScript; XML and XML parsers; SOAP/REST web services
• Experienced in developing object-oriented development frameworks within Agile/Scrum, and waterfall environments
• Develops code, techniques and processes that interfaces with middleware, including: Web Services, SOAP, and XML
• Proven expertise of networking concepts/protocols –TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, etc.
• 4+ years data base design / development experience in RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, Oracle), experience with NoSQL DB design/development preferred
• Experience & working knowledge in AWS Services (AWS Docker ECS, AWS Application load balancer, S3) is a plus
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana & Splunk etc.
