Spring Boot Technical Lead - Hibernate

Job Summary

This software engineer role will be a key contributor to the Quest Diagnostics Patient Reporting Service, the software Engineer would work with Business / Technology / Architecture teams to understand requirements & develop cutting-edge digital products. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding & hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and implementing web-based reporting services in the cloud

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, enterprise architects and IT teams, to develop and deliver high-quality software.
• Leverage knowledge of industry trends to build best in class technology to provide competitive advantage.
• Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes following the best practices.
• Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support commitment to our customers.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance of deployed applications.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in Java programming language including frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate etc.,
• Expertise in REST API development.
• Proficiency in implementing java rules engines such as Drools.
• Proficiency in Enterprise java applications using EJB, JMS and server-side programming. Hands on experience with WebLogic application server
• Proficiency in migrating on-prem applications to cloud-native applications
• Expertise in implementing scalable containerized computing and solutions for example Kubernetes, Docker etc., 
• Good hands-on experience working with Oracle & MySql DB.
• Proficiency in data formats such as JSON, HL7, and XML
• Agile Development, DevSecOps, and standard software development tools such as Git and Jira
• Deep technical knowledge of 1 public cloud services (preferably Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Other Requirements

• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably focusing on clinical and billing data.
• Experience with tools like Dynatrace.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
