Job Summary
Position Summary The NAC Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and supporting Network Access Control solutions to ensure secure access to corporate networks. This role works closely with security, network, and infrastructure teams to enforce endpoint compliance, authentication policies, and zero-trust access frameworks. Key Responsibilities 1. NAC Operations & Administration Implement, configure, and maintain NAC solutions Manage authentication services including 802.1X, EAP protocols, RADIUS, and TACACS+. Monitor and optimize network access policies, segmentation rules, and device onboarding workflows. 2. Security & Compliance Enforcement Enforce endpoint security compliance (antivirus, posture checks, OS version, patch levels). Define and maintain zero-trust network access rules. Integrate NAC with SIEM, MDM, and identity management platforms. 3. Troubleshooting & Support Troubleshoot authentication failures, profiling issues, and device onboarding problems. Provide L2/L3 operational support for network access and security incidents. Collaborate with networking teams during escalations and root-cause analysis. 4. Network Integration Work with switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN teams to apply NAC policies across the environment. Configure switchport templates, VLAN assignments, CoA, and dynamic ACLs. Support BYOD onboarding portals and guest access provisioning. 5. Documentation & Governance Maintain documentation for NAC policies, network diagrams, SOPs, and deployment standards. Assist in audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments. Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with one or more NAC platforms: Cisco ISE Strong knowledge of: 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+ VLANs, DHCP, DNS Network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, LLDP/CDP) Endpoint posture assessment Experience integrating NAC with: Active Directory / Azure AD MDM (Intune, Workspace ONE) SIEM solutions Ability to analyze logs, packets, and authentication flows.
