Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IBM MQ, Managed File Transfer (MFT) & Connect Direct Engineer (Level 2) to manage, support, and optimize enterprise messaging and file transfer platforms across distributed environments. This role requires strong expertise in IBM MQ, MFT & Connect Direct, high-availability configurations, middleware administration, security, and production support to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of critical business integrations.

 

Job Description/Technology Specifications:

  • Installation and migration of Web Sphere MQ 8.0 and 9.2 +. on different Environments like, Linux, and Windows Systems.
  • Creation and Management of MQ objects such as Queues, Channels, Process definitions, Listeners.
  • Setup and maintenance of MFT across different integrations. MFT Agents and Queue Managers monitoring.
  • Administrative tasks for MQ like, monitoring Queues, Channels & other objects.
  • Recreation of damaged MQ objects using commands.
  • Having experience in performing the Backup and Recovery of the MQ Objects.
  • Experience with the Clusters & Workload balancing, adding, and removal of a queue managers to a Cluster.
  • Configuring multi-instance setup and failover the Queue Manager from active to standby server.
  • Having knowledge on Key data base creation, SSL certificate installation and renewing it.
  • Knowledge on IBM Connect Direct.
  • Fixing channel problems such as uncommitted messages, channel retry, sequence number mismatch issues.
  • Configuring MFT setup for file transfers between different applications.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of MFT agents, troubleshooting the file transfer issues.
  • Provide On-Call support in case of critical issues in Production Environment, which will be handled over a bridge/conference in line with SLA hours.
  • Provide Level 2 (L2) operational support, including:
    • Incident management and resolution
    • Root cause analysis (RCA)
    • Performance optimization and system tuning
  • Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to Azure Services, Azure DevOps principles.
  • Knowledge on confluent Kafka.
  • Advanced monitoring/observability tools:
    • Datadog
    • Splunk
    • Graffana
  • Knowledge of hybrid integration patterns

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Total integration experience of 10+ years with 6 to 8+ years of relevant experience
