Linux / AIX patch management /Admin
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing system problems Administering Postfix, Sendmail, Instances. Installing and maintaining Open Source based Tech Stack in production environments Performing OS and application up-grades on existing systems 24X7 automated Site monitoring for Performance & high availability Capacity Planning & Hardware Sizing Linux configuration/installation/ maintenance knowledge. Patch management in Linux (RHEL) or OEL Knowledge of various disk based file-systems (ext2/ext3/jfs/XFS) or VXFS Knowledge of at least one Cluster technology (Linux Cluster or VCS) Proficient with UNIX Scripting languages like Perl, UNIX Shell, AWK, etc. Excellent Knowledge and experience with RedHat or OEL Linux Exposure VMware environments, Storage Devices, HP Proliant Hardware. Deployment of atleast one Centralised Authentication Service (NIS, LDAP) Good Knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking and VPN is desirable Solid troubleshooting skills Hands on experience in Puppet, Ansible and Redhat satellite server. Hands on experience in VMWARE will added advantage. Hands on experience in HPE & Dell hardware firmware update, BIOS update. Knowledge of version, revision control, & change management practices and procedures.
