Job Summary
Job Title: Storage Administrator – L3 Experience: 7-10years Role Summary An L3 Storage Administrator specializing in NetApp and HP 3PAR acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for the design, implementation, advanced troubleshooting, and optimization of complex, enterprise-level storage environments. Key Responsibilities • Storage Architecture & Implementation: Design, plan, and implement complex NetApp (FAS/AFF/ONTAP) and HP 3PAR/Alletra storage solutions. • Experience on native tools for managing storage devices. • Advanced Troubleshooting (L3): Resolve complex, high-priority incidents related to storage performance, connectivity, and hardware failure. • Data Protection & DR: Manage data replication using technologies such as NetApp SnapMirror/SnapVault and 3PAR Remote Copy to meet RTO/RPO objectives. • Performance Optimization: Analyze storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune systems for optimal capacity and speed. • Capacity Planning: Monitor storage usage trends and plan for future capacity requirements to ensure business continuity. • Managing and assigning disk storage volumes as required. • Manage and configure file shares and monitor performance and utilization (e.g- CIFS) • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors (NetApp, HPE) to resolve hardware issues and manage firmware upgrades. • Managing SAN switches (Cisco & Brocade) • Monitor and Manage HP-MSA storage • Monitoring and health check of the storage devices • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting runbooks. Skills and Experience for Backup and Storage Required • Proven hands-on experience with backup and storage technologies. • Proactive, solution oriented mindset with a strong ability to independently troubleshoot issues and rapidly adopt new technologies. • Solid understanding of backup and storage tools, including implementation and integration across enterprise environments. • Extensive experience managing day to day backup operations, including monitoring, success/failure analysis, and reporting. • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities including media management. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate with stakeholders.
