Job Summary

Role Summary The Remote Monitoring Expert is responsible for proactive monitoring, early detection, and initial remediation of issues across retail store technology environments. The role ensures high availability of retail devices and systems through continuous monitoring, analytics, and alert management, while supporting SLA, compliance, and operational stability. Key Responsibilities Proactive Monitoring & Event Management Monitor retail infrastructure, devices, and applications using central monitoring platforms and dashboards. Identify alerts, events, and anomalies related to POS, SCO, BOS, network devices, and store endpoints. Perform initial triage and validation of alerts to avoid false positives. Trigger incidents and coordinate with Service Desk, Remote Support, and Field teams for timely resolution. Retail Technology Coverage Monitor health and performance of: POS systems, SCOs, Kiosks Store servers, back‑office systems Retail peripherals and endpoints Track availability, response times, downtime trends, and recurring issues across stores and regions. Incident, SLA & Compliance Support Ensure incidents are logged, categorized, and prioritized correctly as per SLA requirements. Support root cause identification by providing logs, trends, and monitoring insights. Align monitoring and responses with geo‑compliance, audit, and security requirements. Maintain evidence and reports for monthly reviews and ECA / audit checkpoints. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Publish daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring reports, including uptime, alerts, and exception trends. Identify repeated failures and high‑risk assets and recommend preventive actions. Suggest improvements in monitoring thresholds, alert logic, and automation. Contribute to knowledge articles and standard operating procedures. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong experience in Remote Monitoring / NOC / SOC / ICC operations. Hands‑on exposure to monitoring tools, telemetry platforms, and alerting systems. Understanding of Retail IT environments, including POS and store infrastructure. Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networks, and device performance metrics. Familiarity with ITSM tools and incident workflows. Functional Skills Analytical mindset with ability to differentiate alerts vs real incidents. Ability to work in 24×7 / shift‑based retail operations. Strong communication skills for incident coordination and escalation. Attention to detail and compliance discipline. Experience & Qualification 2–6 years of experience in Remote Monitoring, NOC, or Retail IT Operations. Exposure to distributed retail or large store networks preferred. IT or monitoring‑related certifications are an advantage. Key Success Measures Reduction in unplanned store downtime. Early detection and prevention of incidents. SLA compliance and alert accuracy. Quality of monitoring insights and reporting.
