Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

AWS Infrastructure Management

  • Manage and support AWS services such as:
    • EC2
    • S3
    • VPC
    • VPC Peering
    • Route Tables
    • Internet Gateway
    • NAT Gateway
    • EBS Volumes
    • Elastic Load Balancer
    • Auto Scaling Groups
    • CloudWatch
    • IAM

Operations & Support

  • Monitor AWS infrastructure and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Perform day-to-day cloud administration activities.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
  • Handle service requests, incidents, changes, and problem management activities.
  • Coordinate with application, network, and security teams for issue resolution.

Patching & Backup Management

  • Execute OS patching activities for Linux and Windows EC2 instances.
  • Schedule and manage AWS Backup jobs.
  • Validate backup success and restoration activities.
  • Perform disaster recovery and recovery testing as required.

IAM & Security

  • Create and manage IAM users, groups, roles, and policies.
  • Implement least privilege access controls.
  • Handle role assignments and permission troubleshooting.
  • Support security compliance and audit requirements.
  • Review security findings and implement remediation actions.

Networking

  • Configure and troubleshoot:
    • VPC
    • VPC Peering
    • Route Tables
    • Load Balancers
  • Investigate network connectivity and latency issues.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor infrastructure health and utilization.
  • Generate operational reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in RCA preparation for critical incidents.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support infrastructure automation initiatives.
  • Work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimization.
