Job Summary

Stock Room technician is responsible for the lifecycle management of IT assets such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Room Agent – Roles & Responsibilities Stock Room technician is responsible for the lifecycle management of IT assets such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other equipment. 1. Asset Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock levels of IT equipment. Track available, assigned, returned, reusable, and disposal assets. Update inventory records in AMDB/asset management systems. Monitor stock availability and initiate procurement requests when stock is low. 2. Equipment Fulfillment Review equipment requests received through ServiceNow/ESH. Verify stock availability. Coordinate delivery of equipment to users through Field Service Engineers (FSE). Update asset records after equipment handover. 3. Asset Return & Recovery Verify assets assigned to users when return requests are raised. Coordinate collection of assets with FSE teams. Validate returned equipment and determine whether assets should be: Reused Repaired Disposed Update asset databases accordingly. 4. Incident and Replacement Management Review incident tickets routed to the Stockroom team. Validate replacement requirements. Allocate and prepare replacement devices. Ensure emergency handouts are completed when required. Maintain complete asset traceability between old and new devices. 5. Asset Documentation & Compliance Record asset tag, serial number, model, and ownership details. Ensure all asset movements are documented. Update ServiceNow and AMDB records accurately. Support audit and compliance requirements. 6. Coordination & Communication Work closely with: Service Desk Field Service Engineers (FSE) Asset Management Team Procurement Team User Managers Provide updates on stock availability and delivery timelines. Follow up on pending asset returns and termination-related collections. 7. Reporting & Operational Governance Track stockroom KPIs and ticket aging. Identify equipment shortages and operational bottlenecks. Support monthly reporting and process improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to stockroom processes and SLAs.
