Job Summary

 The Application Operations Engineer (L1) will provide first-line operational support for business-critical applications and middleware platforms. The role will be responsible for monitoring application health, troubleshooting operational issues, supporting middleware and web services, executing runbooks, and ensuring application availability in line with agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor application availability, performance, alerts, and operational dashboards. • Perform first-level troubleshooting for application incidents, service requests, and operational issues. • Support business-critical applications running on Windows, Linux, and middleware platforms. • Monitor and support web servers, application servers, and internet-facing services. • Execute application health checks, service validations, SOPs, and operational runbooks. • Analyze application, middleware, and system logs to identify and escalate issues. • Support scheduled jobs, batch processes, file transfers, and interface monitoring activities. • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, cloud, and security teams for issue resolution. • Support release deployments, maintenance activities, and post-change validations. • Maintain incident records, operational documentation, knowledge articles, and shift handover reports. • Participate in major incident calls and provide application health updates and troubleshooting inputs. • Contribute to service improvement initiatives through monitoring enhancements, automation opportunities, and knowledge management.
