Key Responsibilities

JD for Security Practice Engineer - Firewall Analyzer Tool Stack 

Primary Skill Set:  10+ years experience in security tools implementation, solution design, RFP response and design, with hands-on experience in Firewall Analyzer / Firewall Policy Management platforms such as FireMon, Tufin and AlgoSec. Must be capable of leading policy analysis, rule optimization, compliance reporting, migration support and transition of firewall governance services. 

Technical skills 

• Must have implementation and design experience in Firewall Analyzer / Firewall Security Policy Management tools such as FireMon, Tufin and AlgoSec. 

• Must have hands-on experience in firewall rule analysis, policy optimization, rule lifecycle management, risk analysis, compliance reporting and recertification workflows. 

• Must have working knowledge of multi-vendor firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet and cloud-native firewalls. 

• Must have designed security solutions and should be capable of preparing HLD and LLD documents for firewall analyzer deployment, integration and operationalization. 

• Must have experience integrating firewall analyzer platforms with ticketing, CMDB, SIEM, vulnerability management, identity sources and network management systems where applicable. 

• Must have experience in firewall rule cleanup, unused rule identification, shadowed / redundant rule analysis, risky rule review and policy compliance assessment. 

• Must support firewall migration and transformation projects by providing rule base analysis, dependency mapping, risk insights and change impact assessment. 

• Must have worked in vetting RFP solutions, response, solution approach, effort estimation and design validation. 

• Must provide technical support and documentation for deployment, integration, operational handover, runbook creation and BAU enablement. 

• Must provide technical support for the team and projects during escalations, troubleshooting and customer workshops. 

Soft skills 

• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate technical topics to customers, project teams and leadership stakeholders. 

• Must follow project guidelines, implementation governance and transition methodology during design, build, migration and handover phases. 

• Must be comfortable working in global customer projects and flexible working environments, including planned change windows and critical cutover support. 

• Must have customer interaction skills and ability to lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, design reviews and project status discussions. 

• Must have experience in managing vendor and OEM relationships for technical clarification, escalation and solution validation. 

• Must prepare and maintain project documents such as Project Plan inputs, Risk Matrix, HLD, LLD, Migration Plan, Test Plan, Runbook, SOP, Knowledge Transfer Plan and Implementation Documents. 

• Good knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Knowledge Management. 

• Must train BAU team members and new team members to enhance operational readiness and professional skills. 

• Must be able to identify risks, dependencies and assumptions during transition and implementation, and drive mitigation with relevant stakeholders.
