Job Summary
Asset & Event Management Specialist We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow specialist to support our CFS team with ownership of ServiceNow CMDB and Event Management. The role will also work closely with our observability setup, including onboarding applications to Grafana and supporting integration between applications and monitoring platforms. Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is required to support collaboration, documentation, and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, including CI data quality, relationships, governance, and ongoing improvements. • Manage ServiceNow Event Management, including event ingestion, correlation, alerting, and integration with monitoring tools. • Support onboarding of applications into Grafana and help define the best way to connect application metrics, logs, and alerts. • Work with application and infrastructure teams to ensure monitoring coverage, reliable CI data, and actionable alerts. • Improve observability processes and reduce noise by tuning alert rules and event thresholds. • Collaborate with stakeholders to document processes, changes, and operational standards in Confluence. • Track work, issues, and improvements in Jira. • Partner with ServiceNow, operations, and application teams to support incident prevention and faster root-cause analysis.
Skill Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB. • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Event Management / ITOM. • Experience with CI governance, service mapping, discovery, and data quality management. • Good understanding of monitoring and observability concepts. • Experience with Grafana or similar observability platforms. • Working knowledge of how to connect applications to Grafana, for example through metrics exporters, application instrumentation, log sources, or data source integrations. • Experience with Jira and Confluence. • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Other Requirements
Preferred Skills • Experience with ServiceNow integrations and automation. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Knowledge of Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, or similar tooling. • Experience with ITIL processes, incident management, and operational support. • Scripting or technical integration experience is a plus.
