Job Summary

Job Description: Technical Project Manager

Location: India

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead Cloud Migration and Technical Transformation engagements across AWS and Azure. This role spans the full engagement lifecycle,  from pre-sales solutioning through project execution and customer success, requiring someone equally comfortable engaging with Cloud Architects on technical design decisions and with business stakeholders on scope, timelines, and outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical delivery leader with strong cloud migration domain knowledge, robust project governance skills, and a track record of driving complex, multi-workload migrations to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Migration & Technical Transformation Delivery: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cloud migration programs (rehost, replatform, refactor) and technical transformation initiatives across AWS and Azure.
  • Manage migration waves, workload assessments, dependency mapping, and cutover planning for infrastructure, applications, and data workloads.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on migration tooling (e.g., AWS MGN/DMS, Azure Migrate) and ensure adherence to migration best practices and timelines.
  • Oversee post-migration validation, hypercare support, and decommissioning of legacy environments.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to scope, estimate, and structure cloud migration and transformation engagements.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, SOWs, and proposal development with realistic timelines, staffing plans, and migration wave strategies.
  • Translate customer business requirements into high-level technical solution narratives in collaboration with Cloud Architects.
  • Participate in client-facing pre-sales discussions to build credibility and confidence in delivery capability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders, internal delivery teams, Cloud Architects, and executive sponsors.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, current-state assessments, and solution design reviews.
  • Manage expectations across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Provide regular status reporting, steering committee updates, and executive-level communication.
  • Project Execution & Governance: Own project scope, work breakdown structures, resource plans, budgets, and delivery milestones using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and report on project financials (budget vs. actuals), resource utilization, and delivery KPIs.
  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and governance standards are met throughout delivery.
  • Interface & Lead Discussions with Cloud Architects: Serve as the connective tissue between Cloud Architects and business/customer stakeholders during solution design.
  • Lead technical solutioning discussions, ensuring architectural and migration decisions align with project scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
  • Facilitate architecture/migration review boards, design walkthroughs, and technical decision logs.
  • Ensure technical designs and migration strategies are translated into actionable, sequenced project plans.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Relationship Management: Own the overall customer experience for assigned engagements, driving high CSAT/NPS outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery risks before they impact customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and gather feedback to identify opportunities for account growth.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical delivery issues, ensuring swift resolution and transparent communication.
  • Contribution to Cloud Migration Project Management Practice: Contribute to the build-out of internal cloud migration methodologies, templates, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers and delivery leads on cloud migration delivery nuances.
  • Support capability-building initiatives such as internal training, accelerators, and reusable migration assets.
  • Stay current on AWS and Azure migration tooling, service roadmaps, and industry trends to continuously improve delivery practices.
