Job Summary
Senior Database Support Specialist for Oracle Stabilization project,\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nDetailed description of work task to be carried out:\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nWe are looking for a Senior Database Support Specialist in Warsaw to improve databases support. You will get the chance to work in a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants to drive Nordea databases support. In this position you will be collaborating closely with Database Engineering (governance, security, architecture & design) team running projects & defining infrastructure’s future and the external company doing most of daily support operation work from India. You will focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, resource optimization (people\\\\\\\'s work, servers, licenses, etc.), improving support for other teams doing IT operation and development. You would be engaging on BCIs and Root Cause analysis when the issue is escalated at the Oracle support side, or there MTTR SLA was violated. Also run performance and tunning tasks/investigations related to Oracle infrastructure and databases with severe stability and performance issues (severity and re-occurrence) – i.e top 5 critical databases with the lowest performance index score and highest customer impact on monthly basis.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nTo succeed in this role, you should be:\\\\r\\\\n result oriented, proactive in automation and optimization,\\\\r\\\\n analytical, accurate and taking care of details, caring for quality,\\\\r\\\\n taking ownership and delivering results,\\\\r\\\\n collaborative, having team player approach.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nThe team will work in hybrid mode, at least 2 days per week from the office.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nIt is ok to propose us candidates from Łódź\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nMust-have knowledge and experience:\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nDesirable experience and skills, you don\\\\\\\'t have to have them all, to be a good candidate:\\\\r\\\\n experience in managing at least a few hundreds of Oracle\\\\r\\\\n skilled at daily DBA management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.),\\\\r\\\\n Experience with tools for query plan analysis and database monitoring.\\\\r\\\\n Strong SQL development and tuning background (DML/DDL).\\\\r\\\\n Familiarity with locking, latching, contention, and rollback handling.\\\\r\\\\n Solid understanding of performance testing and capacity planning.\\\\r\\\\n skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.),\\\\r\\\\n having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2,\\\\r\\\\n experienced with working for a financial institution.
