Key Responsibilities
- NetApp Administration: Administer NetApp ONTAP clusters, nodes, SVMs, and aggregates. Manage volume provisioning (NFS/CIFS) and implement data protection using SnapMirror and SnapVault.
- Dell EMC Management: Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, and mapping/masking on platforms such as PMAX, SRDF & DR activity.
- Pure Storage Operations: Manage FlashArray and FlashBlade environments using GUI, CLI, and the Pure1 portal for predictive analytics and capacity expansions.
- SAN Switching (Brocade): Configure and troubleshoot Brocade SAN switches. Perform fabric monitoring, zoning (creation/modification), and resolve connectivity or port-related failures.
- Capacity & Performance: Monitor storage utilization trends and perform capacity planning to accommodate business growth. Use tools like Active IQ, Unisphere, and Pure1 for performance tuning.
- Incident & Change Management: Provide L2/L3 support for storage incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and execute firmware upgrades or OS patching following ITIL processes.
- Act as the final tier of technical support (L3) to resolve critical, high-impact storage outages and performance degradations.
- Perform deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with vendor TAC (NetApp, Dell, Pure) for hardware replacements and critical bug escalations.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and SOPs.
- Create scripts (Python/Ansible) to automate repetitive provisioning, reporting, and maintenance tasks.
