Job Summary
L3 Windows & Virtualization Engineers act as the primary support layer responsible for monitoring systems, handling incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, and ensuring timely escalation while maintaining SLA compliance and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities

Strong knowledge of Windows OS and server administration.

Hands-on experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, and user management.

Handle user accounts, password issues, and access management.

Monitor server health, uptime, disk usage, and performance.

Restart services and analyze event logs for troubleshooting.

Perform network troubleshooting (ping, tracert, nslookup).

Manage file permissions, printers, and RDP access issues.
-
Administer VMware environment (VM lifecycle, snapshots, cloning).
-
Perform VM creation, migration, and resource management.
-
Ensure HA, DRS, and cluster load balancing.
-
Manage datastores and storage (SAN/NAS basics).
-
Support backup solutions (Veeam, snapshots, restore).
-
Handle vCenter and ESXi installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
-
Perform patching, upgrades, and SSL certificate management.
-
Configure virtual networking (vSwitch, port groups, VLANs).
-
Integrate automation tools (vRA, third-party tools).
-
Coordinate vendor cases (VMware/Microsoft) and track RCA.
-
Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and RCA.
-
Implement Windows patching, backup, and security hardening.

Administer IIS, file servers, and clustering (Failover/Always On).

Handle AD migration, OS upgrades, and Azure AD hybrid setup.

Perform advanced PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting.

Support RDS farm setup and troubleshooting.
-
Perform replication, SRM configuration, and DR operations.
-
Analyze dumps, crashes, and advanced system issues.
-
Handle vulnerability remediation and compliance management.
