Key Responsibilities

1. Multi-Cloud Cost Management (Azure & OCI)

  • Unified Visibility: Normalize billing data from Azure (EA/MCA) and OCI (Tenancies) into a single pane of glass.
  • Tool Management: Act as the Super User for third-party platforms (Flexera, Apptio, or CloudHealth), configuring custom reports and mapping business hierarchies.
  • Rate Optimization: Manage a complex portfolio of Azure Savings Plans/RIs and OCI Reserved Capacity/Annual Flex commitments.

2. Cloud Governance & Compliance

  • Policy Engineering: Define and audit automated governance policies (e.g., Azure Policy, OCI Compartment quotas) to prevent over-provisioning.
  • Tagging Enforcement: Architect a unified tagging schema that maps both Azure tags and OCI "Free-form" and "Defined" tags to a centralized Cost Center database.
  • Anomaly Detection: Configure automated alerts in third-party tools to identify "spend spikes" in real-time, preventing month-end budget surprises.

  • Coverage Ratio: Maintain >85% RI/Savings Plan coverage across both clouds.
  • Tagging Compliance: Achieve >98% allocation of costs to specific business units.
  • Optimization Savings: Identify and execute 15–20% annual waste reduction.
