Sr Subject Matter Expert (Support&Ops)

Job Summary

M365 Automation – SME

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automation solution for Microsoft 365 administrative tasks using Azure Automation (Runbooks, PowerShell, and Logic Apps)

• Develop ServiceNow integrations to trigger and manage automation workflows for User provisioning, license management, email security policies, Teams Governance and compliance tasks

• Work with ITSM teams to implement Self-Service Automation in ServiceNow for Common M365 requests

• Troubleshoot and optimize Azure Automation Runbooks and ServiceNow Workflows for performance and reliability

• Integrate Azure Automation and ServiceNow using APIs and webhooks

• Automate M365 services such as Exchange online, SharePoint, MS Teams, One Drive and Intune

• Create and manage Azure Automate workflows and Logic Apps to improve operational efficiency

• Collaborate with IT Security and other technical teams to ensure automation aligns with compliance and security policies

• Stay updated with Microsoft 365 and Azure best practices to enhance automation strategies 

Skill Requirements

Proven experience with Azure Automation (Runbooks), PowerShell Scripting, Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph APIs and other workflow automation tools

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Administration, workflows and integrations

• Working experience with Exchange online SharePoint Online, MS Teams and Intune

• Understanding of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Microsoft Identity management, RBAC, Conditional Access and Active Directory Domain Services

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation- related issues

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
