Job Summary
VMWare NSX JD: • Hands on experience with VMware NSX, ESX Server or other VMware products • Sound knowledge and hands on experience with VMware NSX-V and NSX-T • Hands on experience implementing and troubleshooting DFW and load balancers • Complete understanding of NSX-V and NSX-T architecture, Components, and their functionality along with Host preparation steps. • Strong knowledge about VXLAN and GENEVE overlay tunnel protocols. • Sound knowledge about TEP, ARP and MAC Table along with handling BUM traffic. • Sound knowledge of Logical Switching concepts and VNI. • Sound knowledge of Distributed logical routing, Bridging and Edge Service Gateway. • Architectural understanding of Load Balancing, L4 and L7 Load Balancing, IPSEC and L2 VPN Services along with configuration steps. • Packets walk for logical Switching, Routing, Bridging. • Troubleshooting of basic to complex NSX related issues. • Basic knowledge of NSX intelligence, Alarms and Events and NSX Federation. • Basic knowledge of Stretched Segments, stretched Tier-0 and Tier-1 routing. • Strong knowledge about SNAT and DNAT • Strong knowledge about load balancer topology - inline or one-armed. • Sound knowledge Distributed Firewall and gateway firewall architecture along with firewall policies, Rules, Groups, Service and Profile context. • Working experience with Vmware tools such as VROps, VRLI, VRNI • Troubleshooting & Implementation Experience in core Routing protocols BGP,OSPF,EIGRP, MPBGP,MPLS Technologies • Sound knowledge and Hands on experience in switching technologies STP,VPC, VSS, VDC ,OTV, TRILL, Fabric path etc. • Understanding of Nexus 5k, 2k, 7k, 9k switches will be added advantage • Understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management, firewalling and load balancers. • Experience with network components such as ASR routers, switches, firewalls, ASA, etc • Virtual networking components VSG, Nexus1000V, BGP & OSPF protocol, Cisco UCS and storage. • Hands-on experience with CLI tool set and working knowledge of general system and network troubleshooting tools (e. g. WireShark) • Good practical working ability with Linux/UNIX utilities, including editors and command shells • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation Soft Skill: • Excellent Communication skills ( written & verbal) • Good Documentation Skills • Good Presentation Skills • Team Work • Ability to derive a project plan • Strong leadership Skills • Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders
