Job Summary

Experienced Oracle Database Administrator with 5+ years of expertise in Oracle 18c/19c and Exadata environments. Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing production databases, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities

Administer Oracle databases and Exadata systems, including installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, cloning, performance tuning, and Data Guard/RAC management. Handle critical incidents, conduct root cause analysis, drive automation and service improvements, implement operational plans, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database stability and scalability.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 12c/18c/19c, Exadata, RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, SQL, PL/SQL, Data Pump, OEM 13c, and database performance tuning using AWR and Explain Plan. Knowledge of Solaris/Linux, Veritas Cluster, scripting, database upgrades, patch management, backup and recovery strategies, and troubleshooting across database, application, storage, and network layers.

Other Requirements

Oracle Database Administration certification (18c/19c preferred), excellent communication and documentation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, extensive experience supporting production environments, willingness to work rotational shifts and on-call schedules, and the ability to lead critical issue resolution and continuous process improvement initiatives.
