Job Summary

Automation Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Automation Use Case Ownership Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to identify automation opportunities and onboard new use cases through Jira. Manage the Jira queue for new automation requests, enhancements, and defect fixes in coordination with the iAutomate support team. Review tickets transferred from Automation tools to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities. Analyze automation workflows and engage with stakeholders to optimize use cases, improve service delivery, and enhance user experience. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reliability, and automation adoption. Monitor automation performance, SLA compliance, and business outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Maintain automation documentation, operational procedures, SOPs, and knowledge repositories to support audit and compliance requirements. 

Skill Requirements

 Linux Automation Development & Platform Integration Design, develop, and maintain Bash shell scripts to automate Linux administration and operational tasks for recurring and ad-hoc activities. Collaborate with the BigFix team to package automation scripts as Fixlet and deploy them across enterprise environments. Integrate automation solutions by working with iAutomate, Bigfix and related enterprise platforms to enable end-to-end workflow orchestration. Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment support to ensure successful automation implementation. Develop scalable and reusable automation components that support enterprise infrastructure operations. Enable centralized execution of automation tasks through dedicated automation servers and BigFix infrastructure. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality.
