Job Summary

Storage Design SME

1, Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in Administration trouble shooting on EMC Storage arrays,

2, Hands of in managing and administrating EMC VMAX, VPLEX, UNITY, VNX systems.

3, Experience in creating NTFS volumes and CIFS shares on both 7-Mode and C-DoT filers and managing its Windows and UNIX permissions. Good understanding of Multi-protocol volumes and permissions.

4. Additional skills in Storage Management Tools, such as: Data Fabric Manager, Protection Manager. Report performance, efficiency and capacity measurements

Excellent skills in maintaining and producing documents

Excellent knowledge in Active Directory

Good knowledge about file management

Network attached systems (NAS), NFS , SMB protocol

Must have very good knowledge on NetApp performance troubleshooting, migration and handling escalation

5. Strong background in Snapmirror, Snapshots, SnapVault and Snapdrive technologies.

6. Ability to perform provisioning ( Lun creation, managing, decommission)

7. Experience in Remote and Local replications in EMC storage environment

8. Knowledge on Performance analysis factors of Storage Arrays

9. In-depth knowledge of Unisphere and hands on experience with VIPER SRM.

10 Experience in Configuring and troubleshooting Fabric Environment constituting Brocade/ Cisco switches.

11. Certification on EMC technology is an added advantage.

12 Knowledge on Host/server will be added advantage (Windows, UNIX).

13, Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA.

14. SAN/NAS space provisioning, Allocation & reclaiming of storage space on various storage and maintenance.

15. Vendor Management for hardware failure and firmware upgrade activity on storage and FC switch.

16. Performance monitoring of storage & SAN switches.

17. Good understanding of Problem & Change Management Process and Procedures.

Must be a Service and Customer orientated team player. Flexible, self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization.

Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.

Good motivational skills plus verbal and written communication skills, strong command of English Language.
