Job Summary
Job Brief This position is a hybrid position that will entail System Administrator duties along with Project Coordination duties. A System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and operation of systems at TA. A System Administrator works closely with their peers to support systems, resolve problems, and research ways to improve TA’s systems by presenting and providing preventative solutions through process and automation. A Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of onboarding new sites and small project implementation. Work within POS Team, Operations and HQ to accomplish company objectives, goals, and targets. System Administrator Duties and Responsibilities 1. Travel to TA Franchisees to coordinate onboarding transition. 2. Review and coordinate needed cabling and wiring for POS equipment. 3. Review with construction floor plans and coordination of equipment placements. 4. Assist with purchasing POS and Comdata SmartQ Equipment. 5. Assist with Fiserv and Commercial Merchant IDs for credit processing. 6. Primary Contact for Franchisees to request technology changes and determine next steps. 7. Review special requests from Franchise and assist with coordination of TA Teams. 8. Review current technology in-use at Sites if existing and build technology gap analysis. 9. Coordinate full price book details for franchise onboarding. 10. Work with 3rd parties to troubleshoot high-level networking issues. Document solutions for POS Fuel Desk implementations (Visio Diagrams). 11. Review networking, hardware and software requirements from Vendors and provide technical recommendations and guidance on implementations. 12. Function as a liaison to Technical Support Team and 3rd party vendors to provide insight to solutions and implementation specifics. 13. Participate in network design, documentation and delivery of POS Store and Fuel Desk projects. 14. Responsible to understand all network data flow from all POS for integration projects. 15. Identify POS / Network security risks and provide recommended solutions. 16. Assist with analysis of networking infrastructure between 3rd parties and TA HQ. 17. Responsible to review and provide recommendations of new implementations (Acquisitions and Construction Projects). 18. Ability to coordinate and drive technical projects through completion. 19. Extremely organized with professional follow-up and tracking of assigned tasks 20. Provide hardware and software support for POS equipment, PC devices and computer peripherals. 21. Maintain knowledge of PCI compliancy on POS systems. 22. Review and submit expenses in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with accepted company practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
. Work directly with POS Team from HQ and field operations to ensure the best internal and external customer experience possible. 24. Be interactive with all groups involved with the POS Store and Fuel systems team. 25. Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to achieve the team and company goals and targets. 26. Become proficient with software tools necessary to support sites. 27. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities depending on business needs. 28. Ability to learn new software and system processes quickly utilizing self-research or team collaboration. Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide onboarding Project Management for TA Franchisees. 2. Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects concurrently. 3. Manages franchisee store systems onboarding from inception to end. 4. Ensures standard project related processes and deliverables. 5. Report on project milestones. 6. Report progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables sponsors and stakeholders to have visibility and sufficient information to make required decisions. 7. Ensures risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions are being recorded, monitored, and proactively managed to minimize disruption to successful delivery. 8. Adheres to Change Management process to ensure proper approvals have been received before changes are implemented. 9. Approves submission of hours by project team members 10. Responsible for maintaining administrative, technical, and physical security controls on all systems that are owned or maintained by this role. 11. Responsible for preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data that is stored, processed, or transmitted on systems that are owned or maintained by this role. 12. Responsible for following all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines of the company, including those related to data security. 13. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related discipline 2. Experience as Project Coordinator / Project Management – 5+ years 3. Experience as System Administrator, or equivalent, role - 5+ years 4. Phone based service experience - 5+ years 5. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio skills are required - 5+ years 6. Experience with standard template documentation - 5+ years 7. Experience supporting remote systems - 5+ years 8. Experience with SDLC -5+ years 9. Experience with relational database systems (ie. SQL, Oracle, ….) - 5+ years 10. Experience with remote PC support (ie. Bomgar, Remote Desktop, VNC, ….) - 5+ years 11. Experience with production and project issue tracking (ie. Service Now, Jira, ….) - 5+ years 12. Experience with business systems (ie. SAP) - 5+ years 13. Experience with in advanced level support troubleshooting (Networking, computer hardware, Windows OS) - 5+ years 14. Experience with POS systems (hardware, software, peripherals) - 5+ years 15. Working with retail store, fuel, or restaurant systems - 5+ year Competencies 1. Requires extensive sitting, viewing and utilizing computer equipment, keyboarding, listening and speaking with telephone equipment, walking and occasionally lifting 10 to 40 lbs. Travel required via automobile and/or airplane. 2. Due to the nature of conversion go lives extended time on your feet will occur. 3. Required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl during site conversions. 4. Standing, walking, bending over, and repetitive use of legs are done occasionally but can become extended during site conversion go lives.
