Job Description – Azure Kubernetes Platform

Required Mandatory Skills –

• PRE (PaaS/CaaS/Kubernetes/AKS expertise)
• Azure DevOps, AKS hands on experience & knowledge
• Platform automation for (AKS / Kubernetes/Azure PaaS etc..)
• Strong & must scritpting skills using Terrraform/Ansible/ARM
• Certified in Azure Public cloud with strong ARM/Terrraform/Ansible knowledge

1. Objectives of this Role

• Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
• Build software and systems to manage public cloud platform infrastructure and applications supporting Platform automation
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of application solutions.
• Measure and optimize system/platform performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
• Provide primary operational support for Azure Cloud Platforms and CNCF tools (AKS/ACR and other Azure PaaS platforms)
• Support Azure DevOps/GitOps pipelines for automated platform provisioning and day to day management & support activities.

2. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and Container orchestrators to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

3. Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Hands-on Experience with Azure Cloud platorm services including Infrastructure services as well as Container Orchestrators & Registry (AKS , ACR etc).
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• Good knowledge of Azure Cloud services with Hands-on exposure
• Ability to work with leading DevOps solutions like Azure DevOps/Jenkins.
• Knowledge and work experience in Automation tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Logging solutions like Azure monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog etc. with ability to customize dashboards, define SLOs, Error Budgets etc.

  4.  Relevant Experience: 5 – 7 years
