Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AIX Storage Migration Engineer to plan, execute, and support storage migration activities across enterprise AIX environments. The candidate will be responsible for migrating data between storage platforms, analyzing host dependencies, validating application functionality, and ensuring seamless cutover with minimal business impact. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Storage Migration Activities • Plan and execute storage migrations for AIX servers across enterprise environments. • Perform host-based, array-based, and virtualization-based storage migrations. • Execute migration activities involving Pure Storage, IBM FlashSystem, EMC PowerMax/VMAX, NetApp, Hitachi, and other enterprise storage platforms. • Coordinate migration cutovers, rollback planning, validation, and post-migration support. • Perform impact assessments and risk analysis before migration execution. AIX Administration • Administer AIX 7.x environments and perform storage-related configurations. • Manage and troubleshoot: o Volume Groups (VGs) o Logical Volumes (LVs) o File Systems (JFS2) o Multipathing o Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) o NPIV configurations • Configure and manage SAN-attached storage devices. SAN and Multipathing

Key Responsibilities

Storage Migration Activities • Plan and execute storage migrations for AIX servers across enterprise environments. • Perform host-based, array-based, and virtualization-based storage migrations. • Execute migration activities involving Pure Storage, IBM FlashSystem, EMC PowerMax/VMAX, NetApp, Hitachi, and other enterprise storage platforms. • Coordinate migration cutovers, rollback planning, validation, and post-migration support. • Perform impact assessments and risk analysis before migration execution. AIX Administration • Administer AIX 7.x environments and perform storage-related configurations. • Manage and troubleshoot: o Volume Groups (VGs) o Logical Volumes (LVs) o File Systems (JFS2) o Multipathing o Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) o NPIV configurations • Configure and manage SAN-attached storage devices. SAN and Multipathing • Perform storage provisioning and LUN presentation. • Conduct SAN zoning validation and troubleshooting. • Configure and manage: o IBM MPIO o EMC PowerPath o Hitachi HDLM o Other multipathing solutions • Verify path redundancy and failover functionality. Migration Validation • Perform pre-migration and post-migration health checks. • Validate: o Disk visibility o Multipath health o File system accessibility o Application availability • Support application teams during migration windows and cutover activities.
