Subject Matter Expert (Support&Ops)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure Azure cloud solutions Lead cloud infrastructure planning, architecture design, and solution deployment Administer and support Azure services such as: Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Load Balancer Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform Automate deployment and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Implement cloud security best practices including: Azure Security Center, Defender, IAM (RBAC), Key Vault Support DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Optimize cloud cost using Azure cost management tools Ensure high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Security, Network, DB teams) Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (5–8 years overall IT, 3+ years in Azure) Expertise in: Azure Compute, Storage, Networking Azure Active Directory & identity management Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) Knowledge of DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub) Hands-on experience in automation & scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) Strong understanding of: Networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Load balancing) Security frameworks and compliance standards Experience with backup, DR, and high availability architecture
