Job Summary

Responsible for administration, maintenance, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, backup & recovery, and high availability management of Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) environments. Acts as the highest technical escalation point for complex ODA and Oracle database issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Databases (11g/12c/19c/21c/23ai).
  • Administer ASM, Grid Infrastructure, ACFS, ODACLI, DCS, and Oracle Linux.
  • Perform ODA lifecycle management, patching, and version upgrades.
  • Manage RMAN backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Configure and support Data Guard, switchover/failover, and DR drills.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports.
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Implement database security, auditing, TDE, and compliance controls.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or Ansible.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support for SR management and issue resolution.
  • Create SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and provide L2 team mentoring.

  • 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Oracle ODA administration.
  • Experience in production support, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and DR solutions.
