Job Summary
Storage L3 We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Storage Administrator (L3) with over 10 years of experience in enterprise storage management, SAN administration, disaster recovery, and data replication technologies. The ideal candidate should possess extensive hands-on expertise across multi-vendor storage platforms including Hitachi VSP, XP7/XP8, Dell EMC, HPE 3PAR, Huawei Storage, and Isilon, along with strong experience in Cisco and Brocade SAN environments. The role requires ownership of mission-critical storage infrastructure, performance optimization, DR readiness, capacity planning, complex troubleshooting, and support for large-scale enterprise production environments with stringent SLA requirements. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Storage Administration & Management • Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise storage environments. • Manage and support: o Hitachi VSP G Series & F Series o VSP G700, F700 o Hitachi XP7 / XP8 o Dell EMC Storage Arrays o HPE 3PAR Storage o Huawei Enterprise Storage o Dell EMC Isilon Platforms • Provision storage resources including: o LUN Creation & Allocation o LUN Expansion o Decommissioning Activities o Storage Reclamation • Configure and administer: o RAID Groups o Storage Pools o LDEVs o Volumes o Host Groups o Parity Groups • Perform storage migrations and technology refresh activities. • Conduct storage health checks and preventive maintenance. ________________________________________ Hitachi Storage Expertise • Design, implement, and support: o Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR) o TrueCopy o Global Active Device (GAD) o CCI RAID Manager o HORCM Configuration • Manage replication pairs and consistency groups. • Troubleshoot replication failures and synchronization issues. • Support DR drill execution and failback operations. ________________________________________ SAN Administration • Manage large-scale SAN environments using: o Cisco MDS Switches o Brocade SAN Switches • Perform: o SAN Zoning o VSAN Configuration o Virtual Fabrics Administration o FCIP Connectivity o Fabric Management • Troubleshoot SAN fabric issues and connectivity failures. • Manage host connectivity and multipathing solutions. • Execute SAN firmware upgrades and fabric health validations. ________________________________________ Capacity Planning & Performance Management • Analyze storage utilization and forecast future capacity requirements. • Monitor IOPS, throughput, latency, and cache utilization. • Perform performance tuning and optimization activities. • Recommend storage architecture improvements and best practices. • Prepare executive-level storage utilization and performance reports. ________________________________________ Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity • Lead DR planning, implementation, testing, and validation activities. • Support enterprise replication solutions. • Coordinate storage failover and failback activities. • Validate application recovery and storage consistency during DR exercises. • Ensure compliance with business continuity requirements. ________________________________________ Incident & Problem Management • Act as L3 escalation point for critical storage and SAN incidents. • Handle and lead resolution activities for: o Priority 1 (P1) o Priority 2 (P2) o Major Incidents • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA). • Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures. • Engage OEM vendors for complex technical escalations. ________________________________________ Change & Release Management • Lead planning and implementation of: o Firmware Upgrades o Microcode Upgrades o Storage Refresh Projects o SAN Upgrade Activities • Conduct risk assessments and rollback planning. • Participate in CAB reviews and change governance processes.
