Job Summary
Oracle RAC - The Oracle DBA administration, availability, performance, and security of Oracle database environments. The role ensures strict SLA adherence, high availability, operational stability, and continuous improvement while leading database operations, mentoring teams, and supporting business‑critical production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Operations -\r\n Ensure SLA adherence and maximum database uptime\r\nHandle incidents, service requests, and escalations\r\nPerform root cause analysis and trend analysis\r\nTroubleshoot complex Oracle database and clustered environment issues\r\nSupport multi‑geo, 24×7 production environments\r\nEnsure on‑time resolution and quality compliance of escalated tickets\r\n\r\nDatabase Administration & Engineering\r\n\r\nLead installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and patching\r\nPlan and manage backup, restoration, and disaster recovery strategies\r\nBuild and maintain test environments and failure simulation plans\r\nPerform advanced database performance tuning (SQL, memory, kernel, instance)\r\nConduct database reorganization and capacity planning\r\nDiagnose and support RAC and high‑availability environments\r\n\r\nGovernance, Process & Quality\r\n\r\nDefine, document, and enforce database standards, architecture, and processes\r\nValidate change order implementation plans and human‑error compliance\r\nConduct testing, audits, and process reviews\r\nRecommend security patches, upgrades, and design improvements\r\n\r\nLeadership & Stakeholder Management\r\n\r\nLead and mentor L1/L2 DBAs and technical teams\r\nIdentify skill gaps and plan training and knowledge updates\r\nAct as technical consultant and client‑facing escalation point\r\nCoordinate with third‑party vendors and Oracle Support (TAR, OS issues)\r\nParticipate in customer meetings to ensure customer satisfaction
Skill Requirements
L3 activities: performance tuning, AWR/ASH/ADDM, Data Guard, Goldengate, OEM Cloud Control\r\nInstalled, upgraded, patched, and administered Oracle RAC (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c)\r\nDeep experience with ASM, Cluster ware, ACFS, CRS\r\nCore Oracle Skills\r\n\r\nOracle Database Administration (Production Systems)\r\nOracle RAC (9i, 10g and above)\r\nRMAN Backup & Recovery\r\nAWR, ADDM & Advanced Performance Tuning\r\nData Guard, DR & Synchronization Methods\r\nFlashback & Flash Recovery Features\r\nArchitecture & Engineering\r\nDatabase Design & Architecture\r\nCapacity Planning & Growth Strategy\r\nDatabase Security Policy Design\r\nFuture Release Management & Impact Analysis\r\nMigration, Upgrade, and Patch Strategy
