Tech Lead - Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Mgmt

Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Collaboration and Negotiation, and Supplier Development & Management with the primary objectives of ensuring cost-effective component sourcing, enhancing supplier relationships, and optimizing supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the component cost estimation process to accurately assess and analyze the cost of materials and components required for production.
2. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.
3. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance.
4. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in component cost estimation techniques and tools.
2. Strong negotiation skills for effective supplier collaboration and negotiation.
3. Experience in supplier development & management practices.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities in the context of supplier relationships.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong partnerships with suppliers.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related fields are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
