Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Portal Developer to design, build, and enhance user-friendly, responsive Service Portal solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Service Portal, AngularJS, Bootstrap, CSS, and ServiceNow development. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and platform teams to deliver intuitive and efficient digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portal components, widgets, and pages.
Implement UI/UX best practices to create engaging, accessible, and mobile-friendly experiences.
Configure and extend Out-of-the-Box Service Portal features to meet business requirements.
Work on custom widgets using AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
Integrate portals with ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, CSM, HRSD, or custom apps.
Optimize portal performance and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility.
Collaborate with architects and business analysts to transform functional requirements into technical solutions.
Maintain and update catalog items, forms, and workflows used in Service Portal.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow coding standards, best practices, and governance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Service Portal and widget issues.
Required Skills & Experience
3–6 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Service Portal development.
Strong expertise in AngularJS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience with custom widget development in ServiceNow.
Familiarity with ServiceNow APIs, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, and server/client scripting.
Understanding of ServiceNow ITSM processes and portal use cases.
Experience with UI Policies, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
Ability to design responsive, user-centric interfaces with a strong eye for detail.
Good understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification.
ServiceNow CAD (Application Developer) or Portal-specific certifications are a plus.
Experience working with CSM, HRSD, or ITBM portals.
Knowledge of UX/UI frameworks and accessibility standards.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
