Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Pega Architect / Pega Lead System Architect who can lead architecture, solution design, technical governance, and delivery of large-scale enterprise Pega applications.
The candidate should have deep hands-on and architectural expertise across Pega case management, enterprise class structure, application design, integrations, BIX, reporting, security, Constellation, GenAI, DevOps, performance tuning, monitoring, scalability, and production-grade solution governance.
The candidate should have performed the role of a System Architect / Lead System Architect for a minimum of 3 years recently, guiding delivery teams, owning end-to-end solution architecture, collaborating with customer architects, and ensuring that Pega solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end architecture and technical design for enterprise Pega applications. • Define application architecture, enterprise class structure, case type hierarchy, ruleset strategy, reusable components, integration patterns, security model, and deployment approach. • Lead solution design for complex business workflows using Pega case management capabilities. • Guide project teams on Pega best practices, guardrails, design patterns, reusable rule design, performance, scalability, and maintainability. • Act as the senior technical authority for Pega delivery teams and provide architectural direction across multiple workstreams. • Collaborate with customer architects, business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, testers, DevOps teams, security teams, and operations teams. • Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, technical impact assessments, code reviews, guardrail reviews, and technical debt assessments. • Drive design decisions around case lifecycle, stages, steps, assignments, SLAs, routing, correspondence, exception handling, background processing, and reporting. • Architect integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, MQ, HTTP, file listeners, email listeners, data pages, connectors, services, authentication mechanisms, and enterprise integration standards. • Design and govern Pega security including access groups, roles, privileges, authentication, authorization, data security, attribute-based access control, auditability, and secure integration patterns. • Lead modern UI architecture using Pega Constellation, App Studio, personas, portals, views, channels, DX APIs, and reusable UX patterns. • Provide guidance on migration from legacy UI / Theme Cosmos / traditional section-based UI to Constellation where applicable. • Architect data extraction and reporting solutions using Pega BIX, Report Definitions, data pages, data model design, and downstream reporting integrations. • Drive Pega GenAI adoption by identifying suitable use cases for Blueprint, GenAI Coach, Knowledge Buddy, Process AI, GenAI-powered case design, and AI-assisted workflow modernization. • Provide technical governance for DevOps and release management using Pega Deployment Manager, branch strategy, CI/CD pipelines, environment promotion, and deployment governance. • Lead performance tuning and troubleshooting using PDC, PAL, Tracer, Clipboard, DB Trace, logs, alerts, and other diagnostic tools. • Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization options across rules, data model, integrations, UI, database, background processing, and infrastructure. • Support Pega upgrades, modernization, cloud migration, Constellation adoption, framework implementation, and platform consolidation initiatives. • Ensure solution alignment with customer enterprise architecture, security standards, coding standards, Pega guardrails, and delivery governance. • Mentor CSSAs, SSAs, developers, and technical leads; build technical capability within the team. • Participate in pre-sales, solutioning, estimation, proposal support, technical workshops, customer demos, and architecture presentations where required. • Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, best practices, delivery playbooks, technical standards, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
