Job Summary

Position Details 

  • Role: ABAP Technical Architect 

  • Grade: Senior Consultant / Architect 

  • Experience: 8–10 Years 

  • Location: India (Client / Hybrid) 

  • Industry: Steel Manufacturing 

  • Reporting To: SAP Program Manager / Solution Architect 

Organization Overview 

  • Seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Architect to lead development architecture for large SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in the steel industry. 

Role Purpose 

  • Lead ABAP technical design, custom code modernization, SAP S/4HANA development strategy, integrations, extensions and governance across Greenfield and Brownfield programs. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define ABAP architecture and development standards. 

  • Lead custom code remediation during ECC to S/4HANA transformation. 

  • Design CDS Views, AMDP, OData services and Fiori integrations. 

  • Review technical specifications and development quality. 

  • Lead interfaces with SAP and non-SAP systems. 

  • Support data migration, testing, cutover and hypercare. 

  • Mentor ABAP developers and enforce coding standards. 

  • Coordinate with functional, Basis, security and business teams. 

  • Perform performance tuning and technical risk assessments. 

Required Experience 

  • 8–10 years of SAP implementation experience. 

  • Minimum one Greenfield implementation and two Brownfield/S/4HANA transformation projects. 

  • Strong expertise in ABAP, OOABAP, enhancements, workflows, forms and integrations. 

  • Experience in SAP Activate and Agile delivery methodologies.
