Job Summary

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and optimize PostgreSQL queries including:

• Stored functions
• Triggers
• Views
• Complex joins and window functions
• High-performance queries

 

• Optimize PostgreSQL performance through:

• Index tuning
• Query plan analysis
• Partitioning (when needed)

 

• Build backend services using C# .NET and Python, integrating with PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs using Hasura connected to PostgreSQL.
• Apply strong transaction handling, error control, and concurrency management.
• Build both REST and GraphQL endpoints with proper validations and structured responses.
• Maintain database schemas, table designs, and relational structures.

• Troubleshoot issues related to:

• PostgreSQL performance
• Hasura metadata or GraphQL behavior
• Backend API logic

• Write unit tests, integration tests, and database tests.
• Document SQL routines, backend logic, and GraphQL schema structures.

 

 

Your background:

 

• 8+ years working with relational databases, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • PL/pgSQL functions

• Stored routines
• Triggers
• Window functions
• Query tuning and indexing strategies

• Solid knowledge of:

• PostgreSQL locking
• Deadlocks
• Concurrency and isolation levels

• 5+ years developing backend applications with C#/.NET or Python
• 2+ years working with GraphQL and Hasura on top of PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of REST API design and backend architecture.
• Good object-oriented programming and clean coding skills.
• Experience using Git and standard development workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for SQL and backend issues.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have:

• Experience building ETL workflows using Python, dbt, or Azure Data Factory.
• Basic understanding of NoSQL databases such as Redis or MongoDB.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud components used alongside backend applications.
• Certifications in PostgreSQL, backend development, or cloud platforms.
