Job Summary

The SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting SAP applications and custom developments in SAP S/4HANA environments. The consultant works closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Development & Enhancement

  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP objects in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Develop Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).
  • Perform custom code remediation and adaptation during S/4HANA conversion projects.
  • Analyze, debug, and optimize existing ABAP programs for performance improvements.

SAP S/4HANA Development

  • Develop and enhance:
    • CDS Views
    • AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
    • OData Services
    • RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
    • ABAP on HANA objects
  • Support S/4HANA simplification item remediation.

Integration & Interfaces

  • Develop and maintain:
    • RFCs
    • BAPIs
    • IDOCs
    • Web Services
    • APIs
  • Integrate SAP with third-party applications and cloud platforms.

SAP Fiori & UI Technologies

  • Support SAP Fiori applications and backend services.
  • Develop and enhance OData services to enable SAP Fiori solutions.
  • Collaborate with UI5/Fiori developers.

Project Delivery

  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Prepare technical specifications and design documents.
  • Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.Expertise in:
  • Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)
  • SmartForms
  • Adobe Forms
  • SAP Scripts
  • Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits
  • Enhancement Framework
  • Object-Oriented ABAP
  • Performance Tuning
  • Debugging
Experience with:
  • ATC Remediation
  • SPAU/SPDD Adjustments
  • Custom Code Adaptation
  • S/4HANA Conversion Projects
Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and SAP Fiori concepts.

Other Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • SAP ABAP Certification.
  • SAP S/4HANA Certification preferred.
  • Experience in at least one end-to-end S/4HANA Implementation or Conversion project.
  • Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery models
  • SAP BTP Extension Development.SAP Integration Suite.RAP and CAP development.SAP Build Process Automation.Cloud-native SAP development experience.
