Job Summary

SAP Inhouse Consultant for Manufacturing & Quality (PP/QM) to join our India‑based SAP Application Management Services team.

This role focuses on ensuring stable global manufacturing and quality operations, driving enhancements, supporting production and planning transformation initiatives, and enabling continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure end‑to‑end business operations (L3 support) for SAP Schedule‑to‑Fulfill (S2F), Forecast‑to‑Plan (F2P) and Idea‑to‑Product (I2P) manufacturing processes 
  • Analyze, process and resolve incidents, problems and service requests within the SAP PP/QM environment 
  • Prepare functional and technical specifications and maintain solution, process and test documentation 
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions 
  • Plan and implement change requests, enhancements and continuous improvements for PP/QM processes 
  • Ensuring all changes are executed within a validated, GxP‑regulated SAP environment, including documentation of test evidence, risk assessments and quality approvals
  • Configure and enhance SAP PP and QM components, including routing/recipes, bills of material, MRP, production orders, in‑process inspections, usage decisions, and quality notifications etc.
  • Support integration topics between PP/QM and MM, (e)WM, SD, FI/CO, PS and EHS 
  • Advise business stakeholders on SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing & Quality capabilities, standard processes and Clean‑Core‑aligned solution designs 
  • Collaborate with ABAP and Fiori development teams for enhancements, defect fixes and technical implementations 
  • Support functional and automated regression testing together with test automation teams 
  • Contribute to SAP rollouts, upgrades, migrations and continuous system improvements 
  • Participate in AMS initiatives using agile and classical project management methodologies 
  • Support lifecycle management of the SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing & Quality applications

Skill Requirements

  • > 5 years of experience in Manufacturing & Quality Management (PP/QM)
    incl. > 1 year of 
    experience working in a validated GxP SAP environment with strong focus on documentation, CSV/CSA & regulatory compliance
  • Hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA PP/QM simplifications and Fiori
  • Basic understanding of ABAP/4, ABAP OO, and SAP Fiori concepts, enhancements, and debugging
  • Experience in agile and classical project delivery models
  • Experience as a (sub) project manager is desirable
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
  • Ability to quickly understand complex processes and issues, with strong communication skills
  • Experience in business consulting, demand management, and service provider management is an advantage
  • Knowledge and initial experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is desirable
