Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Technical Manager to lead our mechanical design team in the semiconductor domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, semiconductor equipment design, and cross-functional team leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems in a high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers in the design and development of semiconductor equipment and components.
Drive end-to-end product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management for team members.
Oversee design reviews, Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budget planning.
Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and Value creation.
Customer Interface, requirement gathering, status update till delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical/ electrical engineering
12+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the semiconductor domain.
Thorough knowledge in Manufacturing processes, heat treatment, Materials
Proven expertise in Sheet Metal Design, DFX, and Value Engineering.
Strong understanding of Mechanical drawing standards, GD&T, PLM & CAD tools (Creo Windchill)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Exposure to global engineering teams and customer-facing roles

2. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated.
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements.
4. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.
