Job Summary

Job Summary : A Mid-to-Senior Vulnerability Data Analyst owns the lifecycle of vulnerability data from initial identification to successful remediation. This role focuses heavily on data triage, risk prioritization, executive reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure critical infrastructure gaps are patched efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities : Core Responsibilities 1. Data Triage & Analysis • Investigate raw security scan data to isolate verified vulnerabilities and filter out false positives. • Correlate disparate data sources (authenticated scans, agent data, and asset inventories) to validate accurate exposure. • Perform deep-dive analysis on complex or recurring vulnerabilities to identify systemic root causes. 2. Risk Prioritization • Understand risk-scoring models that combine standard CVSS scores with internal asset criticality business impact. • Integrate live threat intelligence (exploits in the wild, CISA KEV catalog) to escalate urgent, high-risk items. • Contextualize threat data to determine real-world risk, adjusting priority based on compensating controls 3. Metric Reporting & Dashboards • Build operational and executive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to track risk trends. • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as Mean Time to Remediate (MTTR) and SLA compliance. • Translate technical vulnerability metrics into clear, actionable risk reduction stories for executive leadership. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with system/network administrators and product owners remediation timelines • Negotiate remediation timelines and track mitigation progress across technical and non-technical teams. • Facilitate formal risk-acceptance workflows when immediate patching is not technically or operationally feasible.

Skill Requirements

Skill Requirement : Mid-to-Senior Qualifications • Experience: 4+ years in vulnerability management, cybersecurity data analysis, or a closely related role. • Data Skills: Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and visualization using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL. • Tooling: Direct experience analyzing output from enterprise scanners (Tenable, Tanium). • Communication: Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure teams and business product owners
