Job Summary

A Creo & Windchill Administrator is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the PTC Creo CAD and Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) environments used by engineering teams.

 

Creo Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Creo software, Support CAD users with installation and troubleshooting
  • Manage Creo licenses and user access.
  • Configure templates, start parts, drawing formats, and standards.
  • Define and maintain CAD best practices.
  • Ensure compatibility between Creo versions and enterprise systems.
  • Resolution to CAD files version issues– user specific request (Delete etc)

 

Windchill Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windchill environments.
  • Create and manage users, groups, roles, and permissions.
  • Manage workflows, life cycles, and change-management processes.
  • Resolving issues related to BOM structures and product data.
  • Maintain data integrity and revision control.
  • Resolution to issues related - Work flow, Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Change Notices.
  • Resolution to issues related - Drawing release document Generation (PDF etc)
  • Support configuration management and compliance requirements.

 

User Support & Training, IT co-ordination

  • Provide support for engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot CAD and PLM-related issues.
  • Conduct user training on Creo and Windchill processes.
  • Develop user guides and process documentation.
  • Coordinate with IT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
    • Implement patches, upgrades, and hotfixes.
    • Manage access control and security policies.
    • Ensure system availability and disaster recovery readiness.
    • System performance and license utilization reports preparation
    • Backup and recovery procedures preparation
    • Perform system monitoring, backup, and recovery activities
    • Monitor server performance and application health.
    • Implement patches, upgrades, and hotfixes.
    • Manage access control and security policies.
    • Ensure system availability and disaster recovery readiness

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Technical Guidance And Solutions By Defining, Advocating, And Implementing Best Practices And Coding Standards In Ds Plm Development, Ensuring High-Quality Deliverables From The Team.
2. Develop And Mentor Team Members To Enhance Their Technical Capabilities In Ds Plm Tools And Methodologies, Thereby Increasing Overall Productivity And Efficiency.
3. Ensure Process Compliance In The Assigned Modules By Participating In Technical Discussions And Reviews, Acting As A Technical Consultant For Feasibility Studies, Evaluating Technical Alternatives, And Identifying Best Packages That Align With Architecture Best Practices.
4. Prepare And Submit Comprehensive Status Reports That Minimize Exposure And Risks On The Project, Facilitating Effective Closure Of Escalations And Promoting Transparent Communication With Stakeholders.

1. Strong Understanding Of Ds Plm Tools And Technologies.
2. Proficiency In Providing Technical Solutions And Guidance Within The Plm Framework.
3. Good Knowledge Of Process Compliance And Best Practices In Software Development.
4. Familiarity With Technical Risk Assessment And Estimation Techniques.

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Product Lifecycle Management Professional (Cplmp) Or Similar Plm-Related Certifications.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
